Pokemon Go released in Argentina

Pokemon Go has finally launched here in Argentina and I think its safe to say that I am addicted along with half the world. I´ve walked/run over 20 kilometers and I love it. It really gives me a reason to go out on long walks with Max (see his dog blog here) and explore the beautiful city of Buenos Aires.  Check out some of the amazing pokestops I´ve seen:

A sweet dog in need of a loving home

Hello, everyone, today instead of showing you the lovely city of Buenos Aires I want to talk about a lovely little furbaby who needs a home. He was found by our neighbor in the street. He´s been through a lot, it seems he was either beaten or hit by a car. He has some difficulties to walk, but he´s recovering very well and he's able to run and jump around. He's a great dog with a very happy personality. So, if you live in Buenos Aires or around and you would like to adopt this little angel or if you know of anyone who might be interested in adopting please contact us either through our Twitter, our Facebook or you can leave a comment here.

Great Music From Argentina: Babasonicos

Another cool Argentine band that you should definitely check out is Babasonicos. They are a rock Band that formed in the 1990´s. They have also won many awards such as the MTV Music awards for Latin America. First up is one of my favorite song from them, Microdancing. Give it a listen.

What do you think? Do you like the band? Leave a comment and let us know. And if you know of a cool band that should be promoted here leave a comment and let us know too. Also please be sure to check out our sister site MusicMonday on Twitter and like us on Facebook

Taxi Ride Through Buenos Aires

It was a lovely day and and we went for a drive in a Taxi around Buenos Aires. First, we went down Corrientes Avenue (Avenida Corrientes) in Almagro and passed the Abasto, which is a huge shopping mall. Then we ended up in Once, and eventually circled back to Almagro and ended in front of Plaza Almagro.

And here is a fast forward version. What do you think do you like it? Would you like me to make more videos showing more of Buenos Aires? Leave a comment and let me know.

Alfajores: Capitan del Espacio Alfajores

So, one of my favorite sweets from Argentina is alfajores and here are some of my favorites. They are called Capitan del Espacio Alfajores and they are super yummy. There are two typical sizes single and triple alfajores but these are single. Alfajores are a type of cookie which can have either jam or dulce de leche in the center and sometimes has chocolate or milk powder over the top. They are super delicious.

Tan Bionica Magical Music from Argentina

It is important in our ever changing world that we expose ourselves to the music of not only our country of origin but from everywhere and anywhere. That being said one of my favorite bands from Argentina is Tan Bionica. Their music is a kind of a mix of pop and rock. And well, basically they rule. In interviews they say they get their influences from artist like Lady Gaga and Marina and the Diamonds. But one thing for sure in every music video they do whether it is a lyrical or theatrical it is always made with style. If you like their music you can follow the band on Twitter and Facebook.

What do you guys think?

The Beauty of Buenos Aires

So, for those who may not know I am a US citizen living with my Argentine husband in Buenos Aires. And what can I say about Buenos Aires, there is a timeless beauty which envelopes everything and yet it also captures the heart of the modern Argentine.

It is a mixture of classic and modern architecture with masses of coffee shops and theaters as well as the occasional couple dancing tango in the street. If you ever get a chance to visit Buenos Aires, take it.

I think I am going to make more videos about what its like to live in Buenos Aires. What do you guys think? What would you like to know or see in this beautiful city?
